It looks like SteelSeries is planning new big project for eSports. Currently is it unknown and all we know is site with some players pictures and very few information on players profiles. It will probably be project for Nordics teams/players and one of the partners is Inferno online game center in Stockholm. On the site www.ugt.se you have remaining time until project is open. There is five profiles more to be opened so check it every day for more information.
While at Alternate, Wehrmann enjoyed little success, having seen his team place third at EPS Finals and crash out early at Rekrut.ru and WCG.
Team Alternate confirmed that the ex-OCRANA man decided to quit the team because his studies and private life has prevented him to play at a professional level.
Now Alternate team is a team with four-man roster ahead of the New Year!
Team Alternate Squad:
Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt Jan "mooN" Stolle Benjamin "paN" von Mulert Manuel "approx" Zeitz
Carlos “KIKOOOO“ Segal is set to return to Made in Brazil for 2009.
The Brazilian veteran decided to retire from gaming in January 2007 to focus on his studies, having been named as the team's coach later that year.
Made in Brazil had been strongly linked with roster changes for the past months following the team's sub-par campaigns in the latest events.
Although the 2006 ESWC champion had confirmed that it would create a reserve squad after Brasil Cup 3, Made in Brazil has instead opted to undergo changes in the main line-up.
Segal will go directly into mibr's starting-five, replacing Bruno “bit” Lima - who has been informed he is free to find a new employer.
Meanwhile, Made in Brazil has announced that Renato “nak” Nakano has been stripped of the captaincy and that Segal will be the team's new leader.
"The reason for this change for 2009 is that the players realized that the problem within the team was not in the quality of the members but in the in-game leadership," read a statement on the team's website.
This leaves Made in Brazil with the following roster:
Carlos “KIKOOOO” Segal Raphael “cogu” Camargo Thiago “btt” Monteiro Lincoln “fnx” Lau Renato “nak” Nakano
World Elite pair Kejing "Like" Li and Zhuo "TeD" Zeng, both considered as group favourites, ceased to proceed to the knockout phase in the CEG Chengdu tour earlier today.
Last night Like was placed together with Xiang 'TH000' Huang, Lu 'Lu' Zhang, Kairui 'My_Star' Yang and Yuewei 'SunS' Shang in Group A, two of which were Undead players and the vigourous Orc player was expected to steamroll to the next stage with ease.
However, he didn't seem to ride in his top shape as he lost two straight games to Xiang "TH000" Huang and Lu on Turtle Rock following a 0-2 loss to WGT 2008 winner Wulin in the PGL qualifier yesterday. Since Lu already had two wins in hand, Like could all but continue pursuing his first CEG title in Chengdu.
TeD, on the other hand, faced tough test from his group contenders after seeing him tied with Xuwen 'infi' Wang, Yanchao 'Lyc' Lu and Wei 'Thank' Wei. The Undead phenomenon was again recognised as favourite for his exceptional performance this year, but he continued his recent poor run with three successive defeats to the aforementioned counterparts and was hence shown the door in early stage of the competition.
