Team Kazakhstan has been disqualified from The World Championships 2016 after the information that Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov played instead of Evgeniy “ZLEX” Kim in the deciding match versus France was revealed.

As reported in EFRAG’s public release, during usual routine checks it was found that Evgeniy “zLex” Kim could not have been playing the match against Team France that took place on Thursday, September 22nd.

After further investigation and direct communication with the team captain and players, it was admitted that it was in fact, the Gambit player Mihail “Dosia” Stolyarov playing in place of Kim, helping his teammates Rustem “mou” Telepov and Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev to qualify for the LAN finals.

As a direct consequence of a violation of The World Championships rules, Kazakhstan has been disqualified and replaced by the fourth-placed team of the tournament – France.

Adding to that, all of the players that played for team Kazakhstan in the match versus France will receive a two-year ban from The World Championships – including Stolyarov.

Kazakhstan as a whole will get a one-year ban, allowing them to field a team in 2018, but without the likes of Telepov andKystaubayev.

With this taken into account, TWC 2016 will feature the following teams:

Tunisia Canada Singapore Argentina
Australia Denmark Sweden France
