Astralis has won Eleague Premier by taking down Team Liquid 2:0(Inferno 16:5, Nuke 16:12) and won $500,000 in prize money.
It was clear that Astralis was a strong favorite in this matchup as they’ve won against Team Liquid last nine times they’ve played. Last timeTeam Liquid won over Astralis was back in 2017!
Liquid unfortunately never showed up on Inferno as they’ve won their first round in 15th round of first half! That is almost unheard of in finals of any Top tier tournament. They have made a minor attempt to make the game more equal with 4 consecutive rounds on CT side(2nd half) but that was pretty much all they’ve did whole map.
Emil “Magisk” Reif and Nicolai “Device” Reedtz where completely in control of the map with 1.80 and 1.78 rating respectively.
Nuke was a surprisingly left in map pool as it’s known as almost unwinnable map against Astralis recently. For a change Liquid has show up for this map and managed to put up a decent fight. They’ve started with 4:1 as CT just to have Astralis make 4:1 T run to close out the half on 7:8 for Liquid. Second half when Astralis was CT went as expected where they’ve allowed only 4 consecutive rounds for liquid and easily closed the map and series 16:12.
