Ninjas in Pyjamas dispatched their local rivals GODSENT with ease to take the first place in Group A (16-5 Overpass).
NiP had a great start to the match with Patrik “f0rest” Lindbergopening the pistol round with two kills and Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund closing it out with three of his own, even though GODSENT’s mid round call to go from A to B through CT spawn caught NiP off-guard.
The Ninjas grabbed a 5-0 lead on the back of a Adam “friberg” Friberg quad kill in the first buy round and some clean anti-eco’s before Markus “pronax” Wallsten’s team replied with two hard fought rounds of their own.
Just as GODSENT were building some momentum NiP managed to steal a round in which they only had two rifles, with Friberg andRichard “Xizt” Landström getting double kills. That round resetGODSENT’s economy and allowed NiP to run away with the first half.
f0rest put up big numbers versus GODSENT
Throughout the rest of the first half it was Lindberg and Mikail “Maikelele” Bill opening the rounds with aggressive CT side plays which gave NiP the early round advantage and helped them close out the half 12-3.
Coming into the second half GODSENT managed to take the pistol round but the bomb plant allowed NiP an early buy as Terrorists.Landström’s team used that opportunity to take their first T round with a slow B site push and put Robin “flusha” Rönnquist and co. in an uncomfortable position economically.
At the 13-5 scoreline GODSENT decided to force buy with two rifles, but didn’t manage to get the same result that NiP got in the first half. From that point onwards, Wallsten’s team was unable to get a foothold in the match, with the Ninjas closing it out 16-5 in the end.
