Star Wars is officially making its return to Fortnite, with not only some new skins but a few new mythics too for gamers to play around with. With so many Star Wars skins already in the game, many avid fans are gearing up for what could be one of the best Star Wars updates in the game’s history.

As of now, we only know a little bit of information regarding the upcoming Star Wars x Fortnite collaboration. Still, though, many players are getting excited for what is to come.

Release Date
Fortnite teased on a recent Twitter post that the Star Wars update will be released on May 3, 2024. Why this day? Well, May 4 is considered an international holiday in the Star Wars fandom. Think, “May the fourth be with you.” While it may be a tad bit corny, May 4 is widely accepted as Star Wars Day.

New skins
While the only skins we know of were provided by leakers, the said accounts posting these updates are quite trustworthy.
New Star Wars Skins to release in Fortnite:
Rebel Leia Organa (Confirmed)
Chewbacca (Unconfirmed)
While a Rebel Leia Organa skin has been confirmed, it is rumored that a Chewbacca skin will be hitting the stores too. So how does a player acquire the Star Wars skins in Fortnite? Easy answer: the Item Shop.
All skins will be purchasable through the Fortnite Item Shop and we can expect to see more skins from the past return too.
Weapons
As of now, we know of one new mythic item being added to the game: the Wookie Bowcaster. This would be the Wookie gun that is designed to look like a cross-bow. With Chewbacca’s famous gun coming to the game, this is where the rumor that Chewbacca will also be joining us comes from.
It has been confirmed, though, that both Lightsabers and Force Abilities will be returning to the game too, giving players quite the amount of loot to collect and fight with across the island.
