EA has announced that the development team of Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment, is working on the new Star Wars game from the third person.

The publication of the EA’s official website, Executive Vice President of EA’s department of EA Studios Patrick Soderlund, confirmed that the game will be “A brand new action adventure set in the Star Wars universe,” and that the Respawn project joins other Star Wars titles in development. They are working on EA’s internal studios such as Visceral Games, DICE, Capital Games, BioWare and Motive.

The project will be led by Stig Asmussen, a former creative director of God of War III, who joined the Respawn studio in 2014. Asmussen’s blog wrote:

We promise to respect the legacy of Star Wars franchise, this is something that will be a central principle of the design of our address. Fans can expect an exemplary level of quality that is established with Titanfall Respawn franchise, game which embodies the commitment of our study toward a revolutionary action and mechanics.

Patrick Söderlund added:

The EA currently have several development studios working on various Star Wars titles that span across a variety of genres, and while we are united passion of our teams on a story by the Star Wars universe.
