Nintendo announces the end of the Wii Street U service

Date:

Nintendo has announced Wii to service Street U.

It was an active app for Wii U since 2013, with which you could navigate Google maps in the home console from Nintendo.

The end of the service is scheduled for March 31, and the download will be removed from eShop on January 31st.

Wii U Street was initially free, but later became a paid app. Nintendo has not specified the reasons for the closure, although it is likely that its use was marginal by the Wii U.
