ESL has announced that Virtus.pro have been invited to compete at the upcoming ESL One event in New York.

The Polish giants are the fourth team confirmed for the $250,000 tournament, joining the previously invited trio of SK Gaming, G2 and Liquid.

The news comes just days after Virtus.pro won the first season of ELEAGUE after beating fnatic 2-0, taking home the grand prize of $390,000.


Virtus.pro to attend ESL One New York

Earlier that month, the team had finished third-fourth at ESL One Cologne, where they were the only side to take a map off of SK Gaming, who would go on to win the Major.

ESL One New York will take place from September 30 to October 2 at the Barclays Center, with the first day being played behind closed doors. Tickets for the event can be purchased on ESL’s website.
