Ubisoft’s pirate adventure has been delayed once again. The game is now set to release on March 9, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Skull and Bones can’t seem to catch a break. This open-world pirate adventure from Ubisoft has been in development hell for many, many years and just when we thought it was finally ready to launch, the publisher have once again decided to push the release date by several months.

Now, Skull and Bones is scheduled to arrive on March 9, 2023. It’s still coming to PC , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S . The press release states that the development is finished at this stage and that the extra time will be used to further polish and balance the game.

It’s not all bad news, though. The open beta is coming in the near future, but that’s about it.

As a result, we’ve made the tough decision to move our release date to March 9, 2023. We’re very eager for you all to get your hands on Skull and Bones and dive in headfirst to the dangerous and exciting world of building your own pirate empire. To give you the best possible experience we’ve decided to take a little more time to make sure we can deliver exactly that.

For the most eager of you, we are also very happy to announce that we will hold an open beta of the game in the near future. We’ll share more news on how you can sign up to register soon, so keep your spyglasses trained on our social media for more news and announcements.
