G2 Esports have acquired the ex-Titan lineup following the team’s previous lineup having been bought out of contract by FaZe clan a few weeks prior.

G2 Esports, run by vociferous former League of Legends player Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez, has had something of a whirlwind year in CS:GO as the organisation has this year both showcased a Polish lineup (who are now CSGL) and the old Kinguin lineup.

Two weeks ago, G2 cashed out with the sale of their lineupstarring the likes of Mikail “Maikelele” Bill and Håvard “rain” Nygaard to Call of Duty organisation FaZe clan, with the total contract buyout supposedly in the realm of $700,000.

ScreaM returns to a former organisation after his earlier stint on G2.Kinguin in 2015

After having sold off the eighth best team in the world (according to our recent Global Rankings), G2 have now announced the signing of the 11th best in the form of ex-Titan, the oft-struggling Belgian-French team whose organisation closed down unexpectedly amidst statements of financial problems following Hovik “KQLY” Tovmassian’s infamous ban in CS:GO.

The signing will see Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom return to a familiar organisation, as the player was bought out from an earlier G2 team in September 2015 by Titan. The rest of the ex-Titan team will meanwhile don G2 apparel for the first time.

In a statement on the signing, ex-Titan’s manager Jérôme “NiaK” Sudries gave his two cents on a new berth for the team:

“We are both proud and happy to announce that we are joining G2. This club has experienced an awesome development in recent months, owed mainly to the hard work of a competent management team led by Carlos. The players and I are driven by the will to build long-term relationships with the people we work with, and in that respect G2 was the best choice. After Team VeryGames and Titan, this is the beginning of a new chapter for us, and our main goal is to get back to the top of the CS:GO rankings, of which we have been out for far too long”

G2’s new roster is:

Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans
Richard “shox” Papillon
Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux
Cédric “RpK” Guipouy
Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom
