Gears of War 4 has a firm release date of October 11. Developer The Coalition isn’t done with reveals yet, though, and it has something big planned. The official Gears of War Twitter announced the countdown, which you can also watch on the official website if you’re into watching numbers roll downward. The countdown is set to expire on April 11.
We do not yet understand what this means, but we wonder if there is a new trailer that may need to hype the opening of the closed beta on Xbox One, beginning of the April 18.
Gears of War community director Adam Fletcher, though, had a bit more to say:
